A few newspapers have suggested that Burberry's recent rise in sales is due to Emma Watson becoming the new face of Burberry. The papers claim that sales in Burberry's Bond Street shop have risen by 12%, despite Emma only joining the brand last month. This is clearly a great time for Emma she's getting loads of publicity for her great outfit choices whilst publicising the new Harry Potter movie (which I hear is getting good reviews) and she looks fantastic in the Burberry ads. In some photos the darkness and cut of her hair is almost reminiscent of Alexa Chung. Anybody agree or disagree?
In other news all the August issues of Vogue, Elle and Harpers Bazaar etc are out and showcasing the best of A/W 09. One trend that seems to be explored by most designers are the thighs. By this I mean thigh high boots seen at Stella McCartney, Giles Deacon and Prada. Or micro minis seen at Louis Vuitton, Balmain and Givenchy. I think this is going to be a very interesting trend to explore, I am curious to see how many everyday women will be tempted into taking on the thigh highs. I think there be a lot more women in mid thigh dresses, although I'd love to see who would brave it in the middle of December.
P.s. remember that Balmain dress Kate Moss wore recently? Well look what George at Asda have done here.

Oh yes, I saw that dress a couple of days ago whilst looking at ASDA.
In the first pic I guess her hair is like Alexa Chungs but I really their styles so different. I love the coat in the 2nd picture!!
I can't believe that amaze Balmain rip off a la asda! I'm getting excited about the thigh high trend too, but can the average girl really pull it off without looking like she's trying to pick up? Probably a trend best not to wear too close to curbs ...
